Offered during both Sunday services, Children’s’ Church takes place during the “Liturgy of the Word” – the scripture readings and sermon. Children ages preschool through 3rd grade are welcome (but never required) to join our volunteer leaders and staff in a special, child-centered worship where we hear a Scripture reading (typically from the day’s lectionary readings), share prayers and music and learn about the things we see, hear, do and say in “big church.” The goal of our Children’s Church worship is to support children as they, along with their families, decide when they feel “ready” to begin attending “Big Church.” Whether that happens at age 3, 6, 9 or later…our Children’s Church family is there to support and celebrate the occasion!
