St. Thomas is once again supporting Thanksgiving in Action through First Christian Church Olathe. Their food pantry ministry distributes complete Thanksgiving meals to families and clients in need. FCCO provides a turkey or chicken, rolls, butter, and whipped cream for each family meal. Contributors shop for all the fixin’s to round out a great Thanksgiving meal.
Last year, St. Thomas contributed 100 boxes of food to FCCO, and we are aiming to do the same again this year. Here’s how you can help:
– Pick up a box from our narthex and pick up a grocery list or reference the list on this page.
– Go shopping! For families with children, this is a great way to directly involve them in serving others! If you are part of a small group ministry at St. Thomas, maybe a group shopping trip could make a fun fellowship and service activity!
Please stick to the list so that it is a consistent experience for all the families served.
Please collect these items in a box:
- 1 jar Turkey Gravy
- 1 can sweet potatoes
- 1 pkg small marshmallows
- 3 cans green beans
