Now that spring is finally here, we can concentrate on the site work. The excavator will be spreading topsoil and finish grading around the site as it dries. The landscape and lawn irrigation contracors will be working in the near future. The mason will finish installation of the brick pavers in the Apostle’s Garden. Handicap signs and concrete bumpers will be placed at the handicap stalls of the parking lot.
The parking lot will be resurfaced and striped at the end of the project. We are waiting for delivery of the brick to finish the kitchen walls.
The contractor is installing countertops in the bathrooms and Sacristy. Installation of the wood paneling in the Parish Hall will start next week. Doors and hardware will be installed also next week. The east vestibule entry doors will be automatically operated. Painting continues throughout the project. The ceiling contractor and electricians continue to work on the project. The plumbing work is complete.
The contractor, Jack Dutra (thank you Jack) and I picked up the kitchen equipment that we had in storage and delivered it to the project last week. We have closed the storage unit. I would also like to thank Chuc Barnes for his help as he and I put together the portable metal shelving in the pantry.
