The Season of Advent at St. Thomas

The Season of Advent begins December 1 & 2, 2018.

“Adventure” Wreathmaking will take place on December 2 from 9:45 – 12:30 in the Parish Hall.  Join in our annual Advent tradition of Wreathmaking and holiday crafting to prepare our hearts and homes for this special season as we await the birth of the Savior.  Adult Formation will not meet on December 2.

Lessons and Carols will also take place on December 2 during the 10:45 am service.  This is a special service that includes special anthems, solos, and lots of congregational hymn singing.

Beginning December 9, Children & Youth Sunday School and Adult Formation will incorporate “The Way of Love” into their study.  This curriculum was inspired by Presiding Bishop Michael Curry and developed by the Episcopal Church.  All classes begin at 9:50 am.  Children & Youth will meet in the Education Wing and Lower Level of the church and Adult Formation in Parish Hall 2 (middle section across from Kitchen).

Advent Lunches are scheduled each Wednesday during Advent on December 5, 12, and and 19 from Noon to 1 pm in the Parish Hall.  Each Wednesday we’ll study the Presiding Bishop’s curriculum “The Way of Love”. Enjoy a simple soup luncheon and warm fellowship.  If you’d like to help with the lunches (we especially needs soups) you may sign up with the following link:  ADVENT LUNCHES
