Reaching Out to the Community is a series of 3 age-based camps designed to encourage older children and youth to engage in community service in the Kansas City area, to ponder and discuss the wide variety of challenges faced by those who are less fortunate, and to consider the call which we are given by God to do his work for all people.  Each camp runs from 8 AM-5 PM with program activities from 9 AM to 4 PM.  Participants engage in community service in the morning, eat a sack lunch, engage in discussion on the situations encountered and challenges faced through our work and enjoy a 2-hour visit to a local fun spot each afternoon.  Service organizations with which we work include Harvesters, ReStart, Crosslines, Hope-Faith Ministries, Della Lamb and more!  (Organizations/locations vary by camp depending on scheduling and minimum age requirements at each location.)  Fun spots typically include Tomahawk Ridge Community Pool, Skate City, AMC or B&B Theatres, Pump it Up, Urban Air and more!
